Basketball Recap: Citrus Hurricanes vs. Belleview Rattlers
After flying high against Tavares on Tuesday, Citrus came back down to earth. The Hurricanes were outmatched by the Belleview Rattlers and fell 80-45. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-56 back in December of 2025.

Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoey Houle, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and three steals. Houle is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Macy Roth was another key player, putting up 11 points.
Belleview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cami Satterfield out in front who went 13-for-20 to rack up 28 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Briyanna Miles, who shot 56% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Citrus' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Belleview, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Citrus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-32 defeat against The Villages Charter on the 22nd. As for Belleview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-53 loss against Forest on the 23rd.
