Soccer Game Preview: Macomb vs. Quincy Notre Dame

Macomb is 0-10 against Quincy Notre Dame since September of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Bombers will host the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Macomb's offense. They lost 9-0 to Jacksonville on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Macomb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Jacksonville are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, Quincy Notre Dame also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Timothy Christian on Saturday, falling 3-0.

Macomb's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-3.

Macomb might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Quincy Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Bombers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
