Softball Recap: Columbus Drops Season-High Score on Keokuk

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbus). They put the hurt on the Keokuk Chiefs with a sharp 14-1 win on Saturday. The Wildcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 29th (when they won 13-0).

Columbus now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Keokuk, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will venture away from home to take on Mediapolis at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Keokuk, they will challenge Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
