Quincy won the last time they faced Pittsfield and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blue Devils won by a run and slipped past the Saukees 3-2.

Shane Pillars looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Noah Wells, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Ritter, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Quincy's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Pittsfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Quincy will face off against East Moline United at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pittsfield, they will challenge Quincy Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Saukees' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
