Basketball Game Preview: Granada Matadors vs. Mission San Jose Warriors

The Granada Matadors will face off against the Mission San Jose Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-32, which was the final score in Granada's tilt against California on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, Mission San Jose entered their tilt with James Logan on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Colts by a score of 55-45. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Mission San Jose now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Granada, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Granada didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mission San Jose in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. Will Granada repeat their success, or does Mission San Jose have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
