Soccer Game Preview: Xavier Prep vs. Palm Springs

Xavier Prep and Palm Springs are an even 3-3-4 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Xavier Prep Saints are taking a road trip to face off against the Palm Springs Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Xavier Prep will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Shadow Hills, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. Xavier Prep won by a goal and slipped past Shadow Hills 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Saints were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Selah Curry, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Palm Springs and La Quinta finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Xavier Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. Palm Springs' draw gives them a new season record of 5-4-2.
