Basketball Game Preview: Maxwell Panthers vs. Hamilton Braves + How To Watch

Maxwell hasn't had much luck against Hamilton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will take on the Braves at 5:00 p.m. Maxwell will be strutting in after a win while Hamilton will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Maxwell duked it out with Live Oak on Friday. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 victory over the Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Maxwell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ruby Herrera led the charge by putting up ten points. Herrera has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Joceline Montero, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-21, which was the final score in Hamilton's tilt against Las Plumas on Thursday. The Braves have struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Esme Castillo was Hamilton's leading scorer, having posted seven points.

Maxwell now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Maxwell was able to grind out a solid win over Hamilton when the teams last played back in December of 2025, winning 43-36. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
