Preview: Eden Prairie vs. Minnetonka
Minnetonka (12-1) and Eden Prairie (12-0) are battling to keep their seasons alive when they face off in a playoff match this Friday at 7:00 PM. Minnetonka is coming into the game hot, having won five in a row.
Minnetonka kept its home record unblemished after another positive outing on its own turf. It narrowly escaped with a win last week as it sidled past Cretin-Derham Hall 17 - 14. The slim final margin was quite the scare for Minnetonka since the team was ahead by a comfortable 17 points at the end of the third quarter.
As for Eden Prairie, it can now show off ten landslide victories after its most recent game. It had a great defensive game last week, holding Maple Grove to zero points to set up the 26 - 0 win. The game was close at halftime (6 - 0), but Eden Prairie broke away in the second half.
The last time they met, Eden Prairie hopped past Minnetonka 20 - 0. Can Minnetonka avoid another defeat? We'll see on Friday.
