Basketball Recap: North Schuylkill Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Schuylkill can now relate to. They took a hard 51-34 fall against the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers on Saturday. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Northwestern Lehigh was led to victory by Cara Thomas and Brook Balliet. Thomas almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Balliet shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Balliet a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (63%). Another player making a difference was Olivia Reinhart, who posted six points and nine boards.

North Schuylkill's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their win bumped their record up to 24-4.

As of now, neither North Schuylkill nor Northwestern Lehigh have any future games scheduled.
