Basketball Recap: Muir Comes Up Short

Muir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 67-37 loss at the hands of the Burroughs Bears. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 831st, while the Bears are ranked 168th).

Muir's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Burroughs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Pasadena the next time they take the court. Burroughs will head out to face Pasadena at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, while Muir will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
