Baseball Recap: Hersey Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Schaumburg on Friday, Hersey came back down to earth. The Huskies fell just short of the Glenbrook North Spartans by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2015.

Hersey saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Sokan, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Hersey's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6-1. As for Glenbrook North, they pushed their record up to 15-13 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hersey will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheeling at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenbrook North, they will venture away from home to square off against Glenbrook South at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
