Baseball Recap: Lumpkin County Falls Short of Cherokee Bluff in the Playoffs

Lumpkin County and Cherokee Bluff squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lumpkin County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-2. The Indians have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Lumpkin County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Cherokee Bluff, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-11.

While Lumpkin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
