Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Slippery Rock's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Slippery Rock had won three straight road games and Madison Romanovich did her part to make it four on Monday. The Slippery Rock Rockets skirted past the Grove City Eagles 52-49 thanks in part to Romanovich, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 26 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played.

Cj Sabo was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 13 points and five boards. What's more, she also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024.

Slippery Rock has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Grove City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.
