Soccer Recap: Newnan Takes a Loss

If Newnan was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Troup County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Newnan Cougars came up short against the Villa Rica Wildcats on Thursday, falling 4-1. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Cougars struggled afterwards.

Newnan's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newnan will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th. As for Villa Rica, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Villa Rica challenge the Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
