Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Quincy

There's no place like home for Quincy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Portola Tigers by a score of 43-36 on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-38 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quincy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenna Peay, who posted 22 points and seven rebounds. Those 22 points gave Peay a new career-high. Skylar McCarthy was another key player, putting up five points along with 15 boards and five assists.

Quincy pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.2 points. As for Portola, they moved to 13-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Quincy has already played their next game (against Chester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Portola won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sierra Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
