Winters was the 47-35 winner over Woodland Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Winters Warriors took a 41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodland Christian Cardinals on Wednesday. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Winters lost, don't look at Jordan Tucker. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points.

Teagan Hayes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Woodland Christian, going 7 of 13 on her way to 19 points. Hayes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Bailee Broward, who had two points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Winters' loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Woodland Christian, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Winters didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 36-31 win against Willows on the 17th. Woodland Christian has also already played their next contest, a 63-6 victory against San Juan on the 17th.
