Soccer Recap: Middle College Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Middle College can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroe Vikings on Friday. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Middle College's loss dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Middle College does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe, they will face off against Santee at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Santee will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Monroe surely won't give up without a fight.
