Baseball Recap: Pace Academy Beats Forest Park for Their Seventh Straight Win

Pace Academy came tearing into Monday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Forest Park Panthers 18-2. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Will Moss looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (two).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miles Mador, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Pace Academy is undefeated when Mador posts three or more RBI, but 5-6 otherwise. Dylan Nelson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Pace Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 13.4.

Pace Academy pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Pace Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-4 win against North Springs on the 25th. As for Forest Park, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-10 victory against Pace Academy on the 26th.
