Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedaredge). They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over the Moffat County Bulldogs on Saturday. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.
Tia Homedew made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August.
In other batting news, Cedaredge got a massive performance out of Kiera Stroh, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. What's more, Stroh posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in August. Another player making a difference was Jewel Laliberte, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles.
Cedaredge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.
