Dynamic duo of Alyssa Reyes and Nevaeh Madrigal lead Santa Maria to victory

Recap: Santa Maria Saints vs. San Luis Obispo Tigers
After losing to the San Luis Obispo Tigers the last time they met, the Santa Maria Saints decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Santa Maria came out on top in a nail-biter against San Luis Obispo on Tuesday and snuck past 51-49.
Leading Santa Maria to victory were Alyssa Reyes and Nevaeh Madrigal . Reyes scored ten points along with nine steals, while Madrigal scored 17 points along with eight steals. The match was Reyes' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Juarez , who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Santa Maria's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for San Luis Obispo, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santa Maria will take on Paso Robles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Luis Obispo, they will play host again and welcome Mission College Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
