Baseball Game Preview: Carthage Comets vs. Oneida Express

The Carthage Comets will take on the Oneida Express at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carthage has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 11.

Things were looking good for Carthage after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaver River.

Meanwhile, Oneida came up short against Proctor on Monday and fell 9-5. The Express haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Sam Gaudet and Jack LeWorthy stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gaudet got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, while LeWorthy got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Oneida, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
