Basketball Recap: California School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

California School for the Deaf lost against Redwood Christian last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The California School for the Deaf Eagles fell 44-31 to the Redwood Christian Eagles. That's two games in a row now that California School for the Deaf has lost by exactly 13 points.

Redwood Christian found their leader in freshman Kayla Keller, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave Keller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilliana Faumuina, who had nine points.

California School for the Deaf is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Redwood Christian, they, and Making Waves Academy. As for Redwood Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

California School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Redwood Christian, they will face off against Making Waves Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Making Waves Academy: 26.3, Redwood Christian: 29.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
