Soccer Recap: Sierra Canyon Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Sierra Canyon has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 3-1 to the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Wolverines are ranked tenth).

Sierra Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1. As for Harvard-Westlake, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Sierra Canyon will take on Louisville on Friday. Sierra Canyon is facing Louisville at the right time seeing as Louisville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Harvard-Westlake, they will head out on the road to square off against Chaminade at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaminade is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
