Basketball Recap: Citrus Hill Takes a Loss

Citrus Hill was the 29-20 winner over Lakeside when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Citrus Hill Hawks took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeside Lancers.

Lakeside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aeiress Hearn, who posted six points in addition to 13 rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave Hearn a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Elise Henderson, who had 11 steals and seven rebounds.

Citrus Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Lakeside, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-12.

Citrus Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-25 victory against Arlington on the 23rd. As for Lakeside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-24 win against Vista del Lago on the 23rd.
