Puyallup has gone 9-1 against Curtis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Puyallup will host Curtis at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Puyallup comes in on 21 and Curtis on six.
Puyallup had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Graham-Kapowsin on Wednesday. The Vikings blew past the Eagles 8-1. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.
Mason Pike made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Jett Reed looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
Back at the plate, Brayden Landry was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Malnar, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Curtis' hitters rose to the challenge against a Seahawks pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.57 runs allowed on Friday. The Vikings put the hurt on Peninsula with a sharp 12-2 win.
Puyallup pushed their record up to 21-0 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Curtis, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Everything went Puyallup's way against Curtis in their previous matchup back in April, as Puyallup made off with a 6-0 win. Will Puyallup repeat their success, or does Curtis has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
