Erie skates past Corry with ease

Recap: Erie Royals vs. Corry Beavers

The Erie Royals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Corry, posting a 67-24 victory on the road. Erie has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 27 points or more this season.

Erie's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arianah Reap, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Reap scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Draya Neavins, who scored 15 points along with five steals.

Erie is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Corry, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Erie will be playing in front of their home fans against General McLane at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. General McLane will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Erie is ranked 151st). Corry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th.
