Soccer Recap: Ventura Has No Trouble Against Pacifica

Ventura kept a clean sheet against Pacifica on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pacifica Tritons with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tritons, too.

Ventura hit Pacifica with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emmerson McMeekin, Lily Sheldon, and Kaitlyn Wright.

Ventura is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Pacifica, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6-3.

Ventura will venture away from home to take on Rio Mesa at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pacifica, they will welcome Dos Pueblos at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Dos Pueblos' last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
