Baseball Recap: Prosser Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Prosser entered their tilt with North Grand on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Eagle Owls by a score of 5-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2016.

Julius Rivera made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Steven Walker, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Matthews, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Prosser's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-1. As for North Grand, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Prosser will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagle Owls: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
