Augusta E is 9-1 against Coastal HomeSchool since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Augusta E Eagles will host the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes at 12:30 p.m. Augusta E is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Augusta E earned an 8-4 victory over Providence Athletic Club. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Eli Poteet was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Augusta E's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Gabe Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Poppell, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Coastal HomeSchool always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beaufort Academy only posted an OBP of .314.

Coastal HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Augusta E, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Augusta E has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Coastal HomeSchool struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
