Baseball Recap: John Hancock Academy Takes a Loss

John Hancock Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westminster Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in February.

John Hancock Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Letson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

John Hancock Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Looking ahead, John Hancock Academy will square off against Covenant Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
