Baseball Recap: Arlington Find Success

Arlington's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Lexington Minutemen. The win continues a trend for the Spy Ponders in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now won three in a row.

Ryan Marshall was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Benji DeGregorio also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 13-7-1. As for Lexington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Arlington will head out to face off against Beverly at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lexington, they will welcome Waltham at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Minutemen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
