Benedictine has gone a perfect 10-0 against New Hampstead recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cadets will square off against the Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. Benedictine is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Benedictine came up short against Ware County and fell 7-4.

Meanwhile, New Hampstead came into Monday's contest having lost 13 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over The Habersham School on Monday. The Phoenix not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th.

New Hampstead got a great performance from Cameron Hunt as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, Gage Foskey was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of RaShawn Truell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

New Hampstead lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Benedictine's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for New Hampstead, their record now sits at 6-13.

Benedictine took their victory against New Hampstead in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
