Basketball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

Edison lost against Fountain Valley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Edison Chargers took a blow against the Fountain Valley Barons, falling 59-25. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 967th, while the Barons are ranked 163rd).

Edison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Fountain Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Edison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-18 defeat against Huntington Beach on the 21st. Fountain Valley has also already played their next match, a 57-28 win against Newport Harbor on the 21st.
