Bell faced Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Griffins simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 36-8. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won four games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Antonio Washington had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Will Hewitt, who threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Bell's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering's QB won't forget Turner Simmons anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Simmons has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Bell, bringing their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
