McEachern was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Paulding County on Tuesday. The Indians' pitcher stepped up to hand the Patriots a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 12 games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Chubb Jones Jr. made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jaxston Brown was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Jordan Stokes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

McEachern's record now sits at 22-6. As for Paulding County, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-12 record.

McEachern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
