Softball Recap: Murray County Takes a Loss

While it was Murray County who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was LaFayette who put up more. The Indians fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 4-3. The Indians have struggled against the Ramblers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Blaklee Ledford was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Murray County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for LaFayette, they pushed their record up to 24-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray County will host North Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LaFayette, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sonoraville at 5:30 p.m.
