Softball Game Preview: North Forsyth Raiders vs. West Forsyth Wolverines

For the second straight game, North Forsyth will face off against West Forsyth. The Raiders will take on the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Forsyth will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

North Forsyth took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against West Forsyth, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolverines on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since September 6th.

For West Forsyth's part, Elizabeth Bare put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Bare has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Maren Moskau was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run.

North Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for West Forsyth, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-12.
