Softball Recap: Douglas County Drops Season-High Score on Pebblebrook

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Douglas County). They put the hurt on the Pebblebrook Falcons with a sharp 22-11 win on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Adryanna Cole was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three stolen bases, and four runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (five). Kaylyn Arnold was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

Douglas County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Pebblebrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Coming up, Douglas County will take on New Manchester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pebblebrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
