Softball Recap: Spiro Comes Up Short

Spiro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Panama Razorbacks, falling 16-1. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Razorbacks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Spiro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Panama, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spiro will host Keys at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Panama, they will square off against Howe at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Razorbacks 2.8, the Lions 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
