Basketball Recap: Justin-Siena Takes Down Evergreen Valley in a Playoff Battle

Justin-Siena had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 73-39 win over the Evergreen Valley Cougars. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Jordan WASHINGTON was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 16 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Justin-Siena's points. Another player making a difference was Lauren KELLER, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 13 points.

Justin-Siena smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests.

Justin-Siena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. This is the second loss in a row for Evergreen Valley and nudges their season record down to 19-8.

Justin-Siena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-36 victory against Menlo-Atherton on the 6th. Evergreen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
