Basketball Recap: Saint Francis Takes a Loss

Saint Francis has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 63-51.

Saint Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Francis will square off against Archbishop Mitty at 6:30 p.m. on February 18th. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats duke it out with the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
