Meanwhile, Firebaugh fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Gahr on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 1-0. Firebaugh have struggled against Gahr recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Bellflower's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Firebaugh, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-2.

Bellflower got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in February of 2025 against Firebaugh by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
