Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Abby Folsom and Elizabeth Murray Lead Poly to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Moreno Valley, Poly was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They snuck past the Paloma Valley Wildcats with a 58-53 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their 17-point performance the match before.

Poly was led to victory by Elizabeth Murray and Abby Folsom. Murray posted 22 points, while Folsom put up 21 points. The dominant performance gave Murray a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliet Zaragoza, who had eight points.

Poly is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Paloma Valley, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poly will face off against Norte Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Poly is facing Norte Vista at the right time seeing as Norte Vista is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Paloma Valley, they will take on Moreno Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
