Volleyball Recap: St. Andrew's Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Andrew had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the New Hampstead Phoenix. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Andrew's took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Scarlett Holmes and Ryan McGee, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Grace Dare and her 13 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

St. Andrew's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for New Hampstead, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

St. Andrew's has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against South Effingham on the 4th. As for New Hampstead, they will challenge Statesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
