Softball Recap: North Murray Mountaineers vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but North Murray ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors 4-3. The Mountaineers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.
Chanley Langham spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kylie Corbin was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Hailey Coram also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
North Murray now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
North Murray wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-4 defeat against Rockmart on the 27th. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Coahulla Creek on the 28th.
