Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ardrey Kell). They really took it to the East Mecklenburg Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Eagles are ranked 230th).

Tristan Rivest was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 87 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ardrey Kell proved: they limited East Mecklenburg to a paltry -1.9 yards per carry. The Knights' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 3.88 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.77 on average over their last five games.

The win was the third in a row for Ardrey Kell, bringing their record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for East Mecklenburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
