Volleyball Recap: Carlsbad Triumphs

Carlsbad saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Capistrano Valley Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Carlsbad never let Capistrano Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14.

Carlsbad's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Capistrano Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Carlsbad didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Yorba Linda on the 6th. As for Capistrano Valley, they will welcome St. Margaret's at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
