Basketball Recap: Shade Takes a Loss

Shade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Cambria Heights Highlanders, falling 61-14. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Highlanders from their previous meeting back in January.

Sienna Kirsch continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cambria Heights, going 11 for 21 on her way to 28 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. Kirsch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Rogal, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Shade's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cambria Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Shade will head out to face off against Ferndale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cambria Heights, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-12 victory against Northern Cambria on the 16th.
