Soccer Recap: Fowler Comes Up Short

After flying high against Yosemite last Friday, Fowler came back down to earth. The Fowler Redcats lost 5-1 to the Fresno Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Redcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Fowler's goal came courtesy of Melayna Vasquez, who's now up to 31 this season.

Fowler's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-8-1. As for Fresno Christian, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Fowler didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 13-2 win against Sierra on the 24th. Fresno Christian has also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Liberty on the 24th.
