Baseball Recap: Prout Takes a Loss

Prout extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 2-15. They came up short against the West Warwick Wizards, falling 10-0. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wizards apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for West Warwick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

For West Warwick's part, they got a massive performance out of Joe Riviera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Luke Gallo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Prout will host Ponaganset at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chieftains' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. West Warwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
